Office introduces a spatial type that creates a co-working space that enables necessary specificity while not restricting its flexibility. This irreducible type becomes generic enough to allow for both resiliency and specificity for an ever changing program with ever changing actors. The generic feeds into a building of tabula plena, some element that is charged and suggestive, but open to many different forms of table setting. What results is a programmatically bracketed soft space that allows for a defined program to bleed into new spaces, and stands as a relational element rather than as a self sufficient whole shape. These orderings and relationships are necessarily casual, imprecise and unemphasized. Chance is accepted and indeterminacy is necessarily implied.
