Challenging the traditions of single family housing, a set of rules arose that gave spatial definition to a series of generic, suburban homes with common traits. The spaces in-between the volumes are given as much design attention as the volumes themselves. The architecture emerges from the dialogue between mass and void, establishing a figure-figure relationship.
